Thereafter, you can control the Denon via RS232. If it has worked, the Denon will turn off. Now turn on the Denon with the Standby button, and while it is starting up use Edit, Copy clipboard to host in Hyperterminal Type the word PWSTANDBY and one linefeed into a Notepad document, copy this into the Clipboard (this must be in upper case) Use Hyperterminal at 9600,n,8,1 and NO flow control (that's important) Connect a laptop with a straight RS232 cable

This is my first Android project so use on your own risk ). The app uses INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions to connect to the receiver (when on WiFi only) and to store/manage XML layout files on local storage. You have to set the ip address manually in the settings but therefore it is quite snappy. Its best to use the app with a static ip address for the receiver since there is no automatic recognition.
